Location. Hotel Arnarvholl is located in the centre of Reykjavik, Iceland, and overlooks the Faxafloi Bay. The city centre is 400 metres from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The eight-storey Hotel Arnarvholl features contemporary architecture and has a sauna, a steam room, and fitness equipment. The public areas of this smoke-free property have wireless Internet access. Multilingual staff at the 24-hour front desk can offer tour assistance and limited-hours room service is available.

Restaurant Hofn serves a regional and international buffet on the hotel's top floor and features excellent views. A complimentary buffet breakfast is provided.

Guestrooms. The Hotel Arnarvholl's 104 guestrooms have light decor and modern Nordic furnishings. All rooms have satellite television, climate control, and complimentary high-speed Internet connections. Other standard amenities include safes, minibars, desks, and coffee and tea-making facilities. Complimentary toiletries, hair dryers, and sewing kits are all provided.

Expert Tip. While in Reykjavik, there is every chance of witnessing one of nature's most dramatic sights, the Northern Lights.

Distance to Hotel Arnarvholl is 45 kilometres, approximately 40 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Flybus departs from the airport and travels to the city centre's BSI bus terminal. The bus stops at Gardabæ and Hafnarfjordur on request, and journey time to central Reykjavik is approximately 45 minutes. Taxis are expensive, costing about 8,500 ISK to the city hotel. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. Reykjavik city centre is compact and easy to explore on foot. An extensive public bus system operates throughout the city and the suburbs. Buses operate from 7 a.m. to midnight, and single tickets cost 250 ISK (3.30 EUR). Cycling is a popular way of getting around, and the city has many cycle paths.
